Barcelona Airport

Barcelona Airport

It is the second most important airport in Spain and still growing.
According to year 2006 statistics, it handled an average of more than 82.000 passenger per day.

This may be a good reason to grow!

For the time being, it has three terminals: A, B and C. Please, do not tell me that it is complicated!
How to get from one to another? Just by walking.
But do not worry. You will find some conveyor belts inside.

A new terminal (perhaps D?) is under construction. It should be ready and operative during 2009.

Where is it?

The airport is located at approximately 12Km from Barcelona City, direction south-west.
This is a reasonable short distance. Just compare it with some other European airports.

You can check its location here and have an idea of the easy access to Barcelona City.

Transportation Options

Want to travel From/To Barcelona Airport?
There are several options according to your budget and/or in case you travel with a group.

In any case, do not waste your time by seeking around.
Believe me, you can only benefit up to the last cent by following my best suggestions here.

Terminal A

It is for most of the international flights.

Terminal B

It is for airlines that are part of those global alliances like Oneworld, Staralliance and even for those airlines which have some kind of agreement with them.

Terminal C

This terminal is mainly used for the shuttle service Barcelona-Madrid and for some regional flights.
At certain hours, there are up to four flights per hour, totalizing more than 30 daily flights.

What kind of Facilities can You Find?

Looking for smoking areas, eh?
No, no! You have no chances inside the terminals. Only outside.
