Barcelona weather in August is hot, with some occasional rains (though they do not last long), a few partly clouded days, but in general mostly sunny with clear skies.
It is holiday time for local people, when many decide to escape to Costa Brava to enjoy those nature wonders along the coast. Long sunny days will allow you to do any kind of outdoor activity, while still having time to lie in a Barcelona beach. Just enjoy the good weather.

Season Advice
- High season. Like July, the city is almost full of tourist, and hotel occupancy remains at highest levels (100%). Please, do not arrive to Barcelona before booking a hotel. For the family, best rent a Barcelona apartment. For groups of more than seven or eight people, rent a Barcelona Villa.
- Use solar protection cream, no matter whether you go to beach or not.
